Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026

These terms govern your use of theopenshelf.shop (“the site”) and any digital product you buy from it. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by The Open Shelf (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@theopenshelf.shop.

2. What we sell

We sell digital educational materials about job searching and career preparation, delivered as downloadable files. No physical goods are shipped.

3. Licence

When you buy a product you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own purposes. You may not resell it, redistribute it, publish it, share your download link, upload it to file-sharing or AI-training services, or create derivative works for distribution. All intellectual property in the materials remains ours.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as Merchant of Record. That means they are the seller of record for the transaction, they handle payment processing and applicable sales taxes, and their name may appear on your card statement. We do not receive or store your full card details.

5. Delivery

Access is granted automatically once payment is confirmed, via a download link on the confirmation page, by email, and in your account area. It is your responsibility to provide a working email address at checkout. Because delivery is instant, you acknowledge and agree to that immediate delivery at checkout, in the terms described in the Refund Policy.

6. Refunds

Refunds are not automatic or unconditional. See the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms and is the sole refund policy for this site.

7. No guarantee of results

Our materials are educational. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, salary outcomes or any other result. Nothing on this site is legal, immigration, financial or tax advice. Any examples described are illustrative, not promises of typical outcomes.

8. Accounts

If an account is created for you at checkout, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass access controls, scrape it at scale, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend access for breach of these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the site or its products is limited to the amount you paid us for the product in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost opportunities or lost earnings.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the version published here at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to it. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business. Nothing here removes any consumer right you hold under the mandatory law of your own country of residence. Because Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for your purchase, their own terms also apply to the payment itself.
